Teaching Portfolio

I share my philosophy of education for teaching my future students.

In this lesson plan, fifth grade students explain why plants grow primarily from air and water.

I teach third grade students about analyzing Disney lyrics. They also demonstrate and describe how how intent is conveyed through musical expressive qualities in this integrated unit.

I instruct first graders in researching the skills and knowledge required for certain occupations in this integrated unit. They finish the segment with creating artwork on a class mural or formulating a collage to add to the mural.

I developed this rubric for my first grade class for the social studies/art integrated unit.

In this lesson plan, first graders analyze Frog and Toad Together: A-List and acquire knowledge in key vocabulary terms.

In this learning segment, fourth grade students learn to use four different multiplication strategies to solve problems with multi-digit whole numbers. The numbers are comprised of up to one digit times four-digits and two two-digit numbers multiplied together.

In this integrated unit, I mentor 5th graders in reading and writing decimals to thousandths using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. To accomplish this, I had devised a line dancing game.

I coach my fourth grade class in the take away a group multiplication strategy in this lesson on video.
